Tom Murray is proud to be the first attorney admitted to practice law in Indiana to be inducted into the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL) - one of about only 106 attorneys nationwide to be admitted to the prestigious organization. CCAL was established in 1993 by the Community Associations Institute (CAI), with membership consisting of attorneys who have distinguished themselves through contributions to the evolution and practice of community association law. CCAL members are also recognized for committing themselves to high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of community association law.
Tom first began representing condominium and homeowners associations on a regular basis in 1988. Since that time, his law practice has evolved into the exclusive representation of community associations of all varieties. Tom brings years of practical experience in counseling and advising associations on day-to-day issues as well as complex matters. In addition, Tom advises clients on necessary additions and changes to covenants, articles of incorporation, by-laws, rules, regulations, and policies not only to comply with current federal and state laws, but also to take advantage of time-tested practical alternatives.
Tom believes that a proactive rather than reactive approach to legal issues within community associations is crucial to their success. Working closely with boards and property managers, he helps associations in their efforts to not only preserve and enhance property values, but also to foster a stronger sense of community and involvement in the neighborhood.
